Carole Anne Reid began her journey as a Peace Corps volunteer first as a community organizational development volunteer in Moldova from 2016 to 2018. As a volunteer, Anne organized community programs and camps at the Causeni library to empower women, youth and grandmothers through African dance classes and social justice activities. During her second tour of service as a youth education volunteer in Eswatini from 2018 to 2020 Anne renovated her village high school where she taught English and Life skills, she also worked closely with the Deputy Prime Minister – Themba Masuku partnering Peace Corps evidence based program Girls 4 Health and the DPM- Masuku personal platform of Teen pregnancy prevention. Anne is the 2021 recipient of the Lillian Carter Award for outstanding service as a 50 Plus volunteer.

Carole Anne Reid joined the Peace Corps staff as a New York based Virtual Recruiter in June 2021. In her role as a Virtual Recruiter, Anne collaborates with the virtual team in implementing a virtual recruitment strategy that supports the agencies goal of a diverse corps with virtual webinars.  In addition she works with Strategic Campus Recruiters to support recruitment at multiple universities.
