As a proud 4 th generation Historically Black College and University (HBCU) he utilizes his rich family history and cultural heritage to bridge gaps, increase understanding and understanding to promote positive change. His authentic, passionate, and supportive style connects with audiences nationwide as he empowers them to have courageous conversations around difficult topics relating to race and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and social justice advocacy. He utilizes his extensive experiences as a former federal law clerk, attorney, consultant and speaker/trainer to share insight and understanding on social issues from a legal, cultural and educational perspective in a supportive and empowering way.
He also serves as the primary content developer for Brave and Bold Dialogues, a 60 minute e-learning module that has been utilized by over 30,000 college students nationwide. As President of the Harbor Group of Companies (HGC) he partners with companies to enhance their DEI efforts in the areas of strategic consulting, brand awareness, talent acquisition and professional development. Currently HGC’s clients include Kohl’s, Rockwell Technologies, and Finnegan law firm. Through the Harbor Institute he has spoken at over 300 colleges and universities in 38 states and law firms on leadership development, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), cultural empowerment. Additionally, he currently serves as in-house counsel, as a practicing attorney for the Tran Arrowsmith law firm.
